MROD-S2¶
General¶
Figure 1 shows a picture of the MROD module (Muon Read Out Driver) that is used in the DAQ system of the ATLAS detector.

Second S-Link output: MROD-X => MROD-S2¶
Due to higher LHC luminosity there is a need for more output bandwidth than originally anticipated. A second S-Link ouput is created by re-arranging the firmware of the MROD-In FPGA. One of the inputs can now be configured under software control as second S-Link output.
